They feel really good and fluffy. They fold up so it’ll be easy to transport. That’s nice. The

eighth-inch jack is right here and the fourth hence Jack is over here. I don’t think they are for supposed to have both plugged in at the same time. I think you can pick what isn’t whether or not you are looking for an eighth-inch or ¼ inch in which is awesome. If you have a fourth-inch cable or whatever you’re doing gives you a lot of options so definitely marketed towards editors. So, though or DJs I suppose I don’t know much about DJing they say they need to get phones as well a little bit of extension, not a lot but they’re still pretty comfy. I’ve been using the one audio studio headphones for a while now and I’ll say they do what they promised which is exactly what I wanted. I wanted something where I could hear the highs and lows and more of a studio-quality setting than consumer quality. Where the headphones manipulate it, these headphones I would say do a great job of showing me what’s realistic. I’ve edited several things and then listen to them on other speakers and these are doing great for what I wanted now I wouldn’t say they would be better than monitor speakers or very expensive studio headphones. I’m sure there are other brands and things like that and I’ve heard better myself but as far as moving away from consumer headphones and things like that and actually just getting an entry our entry-level set if you’re just looking

for an entry-level set into studio headphones to do something that’s better more reliable and pretty cheap. These audio studio headphones are definitely where to go.

They are for monitoring, they’re not going to be hiked in the low end or hype in the top in or the mids or whatever ourselves. Let’s go ahead and look at these some of the specs here take a look at the box. If you want but we’re gonna go ahead and move on here and open this up and there we go. I gotta say that I’m pretty blown away for headphones in this price range. First off, these have a frequency response of 88Hz to 225 K. That’s an insane range of frequencies for headphones in this price range. As far as the fit, I do not find them overly tight at all they’re a little tight. At first but they should loosen up if they’re too tight and the ear pads are nice big. You know plush ear pads their isolation very very isolating headphones cutting out all that ambience. You know for people like us we are going to like the sound of these headphones because we like things with a flat response. Now, if you are used to consumer headphones you may not like these right off the bat. Unlike consumer headphones which oftentimes boost that low-end with this, you know with kick drums with bass guitar or just you know bass instruments really low-end instruments.

You’re not gonna get that huge booming surrounding low-end that you get with consumer headphones so this is what we want. Whatever you’re recording whenever you’re listening back to your mix. You want to hear things as they actually are because as we as you should know you know what people listen back on makes a huge difference to what they hear. Buyer's guide

When you are working on producing great sound, you must know what you can expect when you are done. This means you need to hear what you are producing as you move along. If you will be doing voice-overs or any type of vocals, sometimes it helps to have the background music playing in your ear so that you stay on track. This means you need earphones that will offer you true sound that you can count on, that will not be distorted in any way. It helps for you to be able to match your c=vocals to the music bed. If you are looking to start your home studio, know what goes into it.

Most home studios, use two main headphone types. These are closed-back and open-back earphones. Closed backs are better for recording tracks. Open backs are better for mixing. When you are recording tracks in the studio, the primary concern is that a good pair of closed-back headphones is that they offer maximum sound isolation. This allows musicians to monitor the headphones mix as they play. Because they are so great at isolating sound, they do not bleed into the live microphone and the running take.

Should you mix with headphones or monitors?

Headphones have a unique way of colouring the sound they reproduce. This affects the way we perceive frequencies and ultimately how we mix. Most headphones have an extreme frequency response. It is pretty common to see a rating of 5 Hz – 35 kHz, even though human ears aren’t capable of hearing that far up or down. What you will hear, however, is an openness you wouldn’t otherwise get with a narrower frequency range. Again, this is something that has the potential to make or break a mix if you’re compensating or making choices that won’t translate well to other speakers.

Another common challenge presented by mixing with headphones is stereo imaging. Headphones sound wider than monitors, so you will need to mix narrower than usual. The left and right channels are sitting on each side of our head. Centre-panned mix elements sound like they’re out in front of us on a pair of monitors, while they sound like they’re in between our ears on headphones.

Another factor to consider when you are thinking of mixing with headphones is crossfeed. When you’re listening to playback on a pair of monitors, the left ear perceives the left speaker and the right ear perceives the right speaker. A split second later, each ear hears the opposite speaker at a slightly lower volume. Our brain processes all of this in microseconds without any consideration on our part because it’s the natural way our ears have evolved. When we mix with headphones, crossfeed does not exist.

The left ear hears the left channel and the right ear hears the right channel with no natural blending of the two. Our brain notices that something is missing and we have a tendency to dislike what we hear. This is another challenge that mixing with headphones presents. You can combat the lack of crossfeed by using open-back headphones instead of closed-back ones. Openback headphones have less isolation which means they allow a bit more sound to leak out of one side and into the other. This restores some of the naturalness we are used to. Some artificial crossfeed plugins, artificially insert some of the signals into the opposite channel. This is not an ultimate solution but it makes a difference.

Now let us take a look at studio monitors and how they fare. They perform their best in rooms that are acoustically treated. If you want to make the most of your monitors, make sure that you have at least treated the reflection points in your space. This will help minimize standing waves and early reflections that can blur and otherwise neutral response from your speakers. Monitors in an untreated space are not an honest representation of your mix. Before you buy expensive monitors, make sure that you will be using them in a treated space.

When it comes to listening levels, you need to listen to flat but not quiet levels. It is better to monitor around 85dB SPL. The science behind the way humans hear has determined that, at 85 dB SPL, our ears’ frequency response is pretty flat. At even higher volumes, the curve flattens out even more, but the potential for injury is much greater. The size of the room will also come into the equation when it comes to using studio monitors. One of the worst mistakes you can make, in addition to mixing in an untreated room, is to mix with monitors that are simply too big for the room. 5-inch speakers are a great bet for small rooms. It all depends on the size of your studio.

Pitting one against the other, mixing on both studio monitors and headphones is better. It does not negate the great qualities you get on one or the other, however, the best option is to use a combination of both.

Most headphone mixes do not have a lot of depth and they wind up being pretty loud. If this is the type of sound you are going for then perhaps you need to mix on both. It is not a good idea to mix solely on headphones. Studi monitors are much more demanding than headphones and this can come off as a downside. They require an adequate room and are best in an acoustically treated environment being pushed at plenty of dB SPL.

Can you mix without monitors?

It is possible to mix without monitors but it is not the ideal choice. It is better to use both headphones and monitors.

Can I use studio monitors to listen to music?

Top of the range studio monitors will give you a great experience when listening to music. Studio monitors have the perfect features for listening to sound and listening to music is a great way to use them.

Are studio monitors good for gaming?

Studio monitors can be very great for gaming. It all depends on the kind of monitor you have. If you want to experience the fullness of the sound that comes with gaming, then a good pair of studio monitors is the accessory you need. The right kind of studio monitor for gaming should be able to produce great bass for you. It will be able to produce nice blends of highs and mid ranges.

What's the difference between studio monitors and regular speakers?

Studio monitors are different from speakers in several ways. Firstly, they are more accurate and produce a clear sound. They are created specifically to mix sound in a studio which means they maximize the listener’s enjoyment. You will also find that studio monitor are catered with the consideration of music technicians. They are used to mix music with error-free accuracy. The other difference is that speakers can be listened to from any point in the room, whilst studio monitors need you to be close to your computer.
