JBL XTREME 3

This is a compelling JBL speaker. It comes with food drivers and two JBL bass radiators. This quality is excellent news for people looking for a speaker that can provide a very imposing bass. The speaker can rival a stage PA system. It comes with an immersive sound that is well worth the price the manufacturer charges for it.

It is an efficient and portable speaker that can handle the physical aspect of travel reasonably well. It is both waterproof and dustproof, meaning that you can take this speaker with you out to the pool or out to the forest camping. You will notice it has a very rugged anti-slipcover that will not wear out very quickly on the outside of the speaker.

This coating functions as a blanket for the speaker and amplifies the base.  It also protects against any scratches.  It has excellent versatility because of the high-quality materials used to manufacture the product.

On the technical side, they have included the latest in wireless Bluetooth streaming. You should be able to connect with any device that has a Bluetooth receiver quite seamlessly. JBL CHARGE 4

The Charge 4 is a smaller and less powerful version than its immediate competitor. It has been designed for lighter occasions such as picnics and chill sessions in your room. Despite its size, it still offers quite a considerable punch in terms of the sound it can produce.

They have designed this product with JBL’s latest bass radiator that stands out amongst your average Bluetooth speakers. It can provide a big sound that gives the consumer a feeling of 360 degrees sound. It feels something like being at a concert.

This overall sound is quite essential and necessary for speakers that are priced at this level. They have included Bluetooth 5.0, allowing you seamless Bluetooth streaming from any Android or iOS device. The software has also included JBL’s Connect feature, which adds a little bit of innovation to the product.

This feature allows you to connect with any nearby JBL Charge 4 and play the same music simultaneously. This product is more of a party speaker and will do well with a younger audience. It will take you about 10 minutes to charge to get one hour’s worth of battery. It is quite a durable product, meaning you can move around with it safely. Features to compare.

Durability

In terms of durability, both products have been impressively made. They are both made with an interior carbon fiber design that prevents any water from entering the product. There is also an external blanket on the speaker that zips up to avoid any damage to the interior parts should the speaker be dropped. You can feel comfortable taking these products close to the pool because they are waterproof and dustproof.

Battery Life

The battery life on both speakers will last you almost a full day. The Xtreme 3 has a slightly lower battery capacity of 18 hours. Charge 4 will last you just over 20 hours. We can assume that this battery difference is since the Charge 4 is smaller and less powerful.

Sound Quality

The Xtreme 3 has four bass drivers making it the more powerful and impressive Bluetooth speaker. The surround sound that this product can offer trumps that of the Charge 4. The Charge 4 has been fitted with JBL’s radiator bass driver. This is quite a powerful driver on its own however it does not outgun the Extreme 3’s four drivers.

What could be better?

XTREME 3

Given the portable design of the Xtreme 3, it would have been preferred for the manufacturers to make the product slightly lighter. This would allow it to be carried around easier without placing any strain on the consumer. Given its current weight, the product feels less portable.

CHARGE 4

The range of this product is only 10 meters. For an improvement, the manufacturers could have increased this distance to allow users bitter consistency with their connection.

Similar Features

Both speakers are very durable, offering the consumer waterproof and shockproof features.

Key Differences

These two speakers are various as one has four bass drivers and the other has one.

The Verdict

In conclusion, I would recommend getting the Xtreme 3 if you plan on using this mainly at home. Although the manufacturers attempted to make this product a portable one, it is slightly heavy. This feature means that you may have trouble carrying it around if you intend to take it with you on your travels. It works very well as a home theater system because it can offer surround sound and powerful bass.

I would recommend buying the Charge 4 if you wish to take this speaker with you on hikes and outdoor adventures. It is very light but still compelling. The product is also quite durable and will be able to survive quite well in the outdoors.
