You’re definitely right about the Amazon Echo and Google Home Mini sharing many of the same features. The small features that set the Mini apart from the Echo will work better for some depending on your personal preference. 

If you’ve already started collecting Amazon smart devices, it might be better to stick with their products. On the other hand, if you haven’t quite made the jump yet – the world is your oyster and Google’s smart speakers perform very well. 

The main reason for mentioning that is because there are some compatibility issues between the various company’s speakers (specifically Amazon and Google). They’re both great options but once again, it really boils down to personal preference.

I had no idea what it was capable of either until I tried it for myself. It’s a pretty impressive little smart speaker. 

The sound quality is definitely a bonus – I wasn’t expecting half of what it does since it’s so tiny.
