That's always a good question. I guess it really comes down to what you're looking for. Something that'll last for a while or a pair that you might go through a little faster but is cheap enough to be worth it..?

You could take a look at my V-Moda XS review for a more sporty, super durable pair of on-ears that you could use for working out.

Hey Dom,
Very informative, every time I realize I need new headphones I always come to this issue. Buy something cheap or treat myself? I got to try these recently and while I like the sound I ran into the same issue you discussed about mobility and careful handling of them. I exercise a lot and I certainly wouldn’t want to be wearing these in the middle of a workout only to be worried about them not falling off. I guess I need a more sporty ones, will check your site for those, thanks for the information on these.

Hey Steve,

Technically, they're not waterproof, no. Based on my research unless you're producing gallons of sweat while you're working out, you should be fine.

You could wipe them off after you're done but I've used the Solo HDs for stuff like lawn mowing, etc before and didn't have any problems with the headphones shorting out because of my sweat production.

I have gone back and forth on whether or not I should just bite the bullet and spend they money on a pair of Beats. I have been searching for a quality wireless headphone for a while. I workout frequently, but my days of doing high intensity jumping all over the place, workouts are mostly over. But there is the sweat factor you mentioned. Are these headphones water or sweat resistant at all? I do see people at the gym with covers over the ear pads on their Beats. Maybe that would be my solution. Thanks for sharing, you may have just given me the little push I needed.
